Her Imperial Majesty Queen Farah Pahlavi, Shahbanou of Iran, was born in Tehran on October 14, 1938.She became the wife of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi in 1959 and was crowned Shahbanou in 1967.Throughout her years in Iran, she devoted herself to supporting Iranian culture, arts, education, healthcare, and social welfare.Since leaving Iran in 1979, Her Majesty has continued to support Iranian artists, writers, and cultural heritage with dignity and dedication.
